Dean Miller tropical bedding has turned 12 years old this May! It's hard to believe that a couple of guys who were only trying to find some cool bedding for themselves have been selling our line of surf decor for 12 years.
It all started as a dream, and a quest to find some Hawaiian sheets. Back in 1999 this type of look didn't exist, and nobody had ever thought to make a comforter out of a Hawaiian shirt. Well 12 years later Dean Miller is still designing and bringing you new and fun beach themed products. We have expanded our line beyond just duvet covers, and now carry surfboard rugs, lamps, signs, custom pillows, and a whole lot of other fun surf themed decor.
The word surf bedding didn't even exist, the owners of Dean Miller had to call their line of bedding something, so they decided to make up their own category of home textiles. Dean Miller was the first company to bring you a bedding set covered in surfboards, and now almost every home bedding manufacter has their own version of surf bedding.
It's fun to watch, hard to compete sometimes, but considering the fact that a simple idea started out of a spare bedroom in Laguna Beach, California has influenced countless interior designers is something that Dean Miller can always look back upon.
