Bad Quality - Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co., Ltd - located in China

Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co is know for Cheap Quality

I see a lot of goods being posted on Amazon right now being directly shipped to customers straight from China. I can't speak to the quality of all these sellers, but I do have experience with one company in China that is producing very poor and bad quality comforters.

I purchased some comforter sets from the Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co that I had found through Alibaba.com

The Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co is listed as an "8 yr. Gold Supplier" (which I later found out that only means the company, or any company listed on Alibaba.com as a Gold Supplier, pays to advertise on Alibaba.com, that's it.) Being a Gold Supplier doesn't have anything to do with being a reputable business, supplying good quality, or being able to fulfill your order in a timely fashion. Alibaba.com only cares if their advertising listing bill is paid up, then you will become an Alibaba Gold Supplier.

Here is a video link I posted on YouTube showing the quality of Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co so you can see the quality this company produces:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWiYtS6KTik

The quality shipped is unacceptable, and is very poor made by the Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co in China.

Bought some comforters from the Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co., Ltd in China, that I found through Alibaba.com, please be careful and know who you are buying from when you are dealing with overseas production! The Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co., Ltd can still be found through Alibaba.com, and you can see the Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co., Ltd's Alibaba website at: http://hzgongcheng.en.alibaba.com/

Please be super careful if you do decide to purchase from this company, they do NOT stand by their product, and quality. The Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co., Ltd is run by sales rep Tina Wu, and Tom Shang, both employees of Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co., Ltd are very dishonest, and do not conduct business in an honorable way. They have advised me to simply brush away the leaking poly fill that is coming straight through the fabric, and to also put a cover over the comforter to prevent this from happening. Which quite simply defeats the purpose of a printed comforter.

Buyer Beware of: Hangzhou Fair Honest Import And Export Co., Ltd based in China, Very bad Quality!   http://www.hzgongcheng.cn

Surf Decor for the Garden - Surfboard Bus & Woody Car

A Little Dirt Don't Hurt

Surf decor shouldn't be regulated to just the indoors. You can't have an awesome surf house without bringing your passion for surfing back out to nature. I was out looking for some cool drought tolerant plants so my Southern California beach house doesn't turn into an Arizona rock landscaped front yard, when I stumbled upon these fun, and unique garden art pieces. I don't believe they have any actual gardening functionality to them other than adding a whimsical touch to your backyard.

Woody Car for the Garden
The first one was a the classic California surfing symbol, the woody car with boards on the roof rack. I have no idea what year or make or model this car is supposed to be, but if one of our readers knows, please do tell. The woody car make look kind of small in the picture, but each piece is about knee high, and about four feet wide. They are made out of some kind of steel that looks like it will rust a bit the more you own it, which I can only imagine will give it that cool weathered look over time.

Surf Bus for your Garden
The second ingenuity of original outdoor surf decor found in this nursery was an awesome replica of a VW surfing bus. This bus was packed with boards, and ready to head out on the highway in search of empty, perfect point breaks up and down the coast of Baja. This model was roughly the same size as the California woody car, and also seemed like it would weather a dynamic rust pattern as well.

It would be a lot of fun to set up an imaginary road, or path in your garden for your surf cars to voyage through. You could have lots of fun areas to voyage though, like the desert plants of Mexico ending into some tropical foliage from Hawaii or Indonesia with a nice water fountain or small pond. Be great to bring back some plants from some of your surf trips to remind you of how great it is to get out and surf the world.

Beach Decor Ideas - Sand and Sea Shells in your Stairs

Stairway to Heaven

I went and toured some new model homes that were built overlooking the ocean with amazing views in San Clemente, California, and wanted to see what you thought about this design idea for some beach decor lifestyle living.
Custom Stairs with Rock Inlay
The main stairway leading up the second floor, and all the bedrooms, had been built with a nice rich hardwood floor topping for the treads, then has a cement themed veneer put over the risers. One side of the staircase was encased by the wall, so the hand rails or spindles were simply painted a cream color to match the walls in this particular project.
What if we added Sea Shells?

The uniqueness of this model home's staircase got me to thinking about what if we added some sea shells, and other beach themed items to the risers? Would you like to be reminded of your fabulous beach lifestyle while you climb your stairs to bed every night?
Sea Shell Stair Well
I thought it would be fun to add some common sea shells you might find on the beach, like sand dollars, and star fish along side the rock formation they had. Use more of sand color cement, and you will have your own beach themed stair case. Let us know what you think, or if you see any stair cases like this!

Only three things matter to surfers, Surf, Eat, and Sleep. This tried and trued mantra has kept surfers coming back to the beach day after day to reveal in tropical water, and chase waves around the world. Beach bedding designer Dean Miller understands this connection to the ocean, and the magnetic pull it has on surfers.

This surfboard themed reversible comforter is a testament to surfers worldwide who think about nothing else besides surfing, and when the next set of waves are coming. The tonal accents have breaking waves, surfers riding these waves, Hawaiian icons such as antique tiki figures, palms trees, and ancient Polynesian hieroglyphics. On top of this one of a kind tonal background are multi colored surfboards of varying shapes and sizes, from long boards, to big wave guns, and graphic intense hot dogging short boards.

Surf Decor on Extreme Make-Over: Home Edition

Dean Miller Surf Bedding
on
ABC's Extreme Make-Over: Home Edition

Probably one of the most amazing things I have ever witnessed. Dean Miller Surf Bedding got a call from the TV show "Extreme Makeover" to donate some items for the Ripatti family who were selected by ABC to get a complete extreme house make over. Ty Pennington's design team was interested in our Hawaiian baby bedding for the Ripatti's little girl Jordan. We sewed up an entire surfboard themed crib set for their daughter Jordan, and made a custom tin sign just for her that said "J" is for Jordan with a stick figure hula girl dancing.
Dean Miller provided the Crib Bedding, and other Surf Decor

I went up to the Ripatti's house in Redondo Beach, California to drop off the custom bedding, and was amazed at what I was saw. This crew literally built an entire new house inside and out in basically a week. The place was packed with people in those blue ABC Extreme Make Over t-shirts.

You would walk in, and there were people everywhere working. In the same small area you would see one guy with a giant saw cutting up the floor, while above him is some other volunteer priming the walls. It was amazing that nobody got hurt. I got a tour of the house from one of the production folks, and then we went into the garage to put our donations. This garage was Filled with cool stuff! Quiksilver had donated surfboards, and wetsuits, there were tiki statues, kayaks, new bikes, anything you needed for the beach was here.

It was great to see all the surf community come together in such a generous fashion, and donate so much stuff to try to make their life a little easier.

Here is the story of Tim and Kristina Rippatti, please watch the video below if you get a chance. I know it's a little long, but it will suck you in!

Watch the Video Here:

The "un-veiling" of Baby Jordan's room starts at the 1:11:30 mark, and you can see the Dean Miller custom crib bedding in our "Summer Slumber" design.

Marine Artist Wyland paints Mural for Malcolm Elementary School Playground

A Whale of a Tail

Legendary Laguna Beach ocean artist Wyland came to Malcolm Elementary School in Laguna Niguel last week, and painted a stunning visual portrait on the wall of the school's playground. This life size painting features a migrating whale swimming along the California coast, and the best feature of this original Wyland piece, is that all the kids in the school got to add their own personal touch to the aquatic themed classroom wall.

Whale painted onto school's playground wall by Wyland

Every child in the entire school got the chance to paint a fish, a seahorse, an octopus, or whatever a child thinks is lurking around under the sea. The children hand painted colorful sharks, crabs, jellyfish, sting rays, all in bright colors, with most of the sea creatures donning smiling faces. Wyland took the lead, and painted a magnificent whale just breaching the water, with the California coastline in the background. Then he handed his paint brushes over to the children, and led them up in groups of four, and let the kids finish this one of a kind ocean masterpiece.

A smiling Octopus drawn by one of the students
I think the children's touch truly adds a special feel to this piece, and the kids will grow up, and be able to visit their old Elementary school and point out which fish they added to Wyland's school piece. Thank you Wyland for donating your time, and adding this crustacean creation to such a young learning environment.

Surf Art in the City

Crate and Barrell'd

We love surf art, and it is even better when we can stroll in a public park and see a surf inspired fountain that the city has installed to make the world a more beautiful place. This particular water fall display features a woman hanging ten on a long board. Although I can't tell if the water is supposed to represent the young lady emerging from a spitting barrel or not. If so, I like the piece even more.

Public Nose Riding

This piece of surf art is featured in the coastal community of Dana Point, right in the center of town. The fountain sits right in the middle of this little park, and has an entire pool around the base of the waterfall where you can sit, and reminiscence about your last surf trip. You can see the detail the artist put into this fun fountain, and the hand tiling couldn't have been easy.
